ABSTRACT ARTIST: Bryaa Smith
I studied acting at a private school/theatre, but the industry's ways of doing business was not for me. I had to do something different for a living. But it had to be fun and challenging. I hated the thought of having to start all over again with college, so I turned to my love of art.
It was a rough go at first. My parents even threatened to cut me off. To cut a long story short. Here I am working with my favorite thing.
Dolls! As a child I used to get in heaps of trouble for giving my dolls new hair cuts. I especially loved re doing their make-up. It is fun to create these adorable reborn-babies, but sometimes I get attached when it is time to give them up. I know I will be a very posessive mom. Thank God real babies grow up.

Today, my mom is my biggest fans!
My mother and grandmother were artists, so I started life as a baby with a brush on art. I thank God everyday for this gift, for it has brought me much happiness and a satisfying livelihood. I am fortunate enogh to share my love for art with others and bring them happiness too.
I am a realist, but  I believe in painting my
world full of beautiful pictures. As an abstract artist, I am only comfortable with bright cheerful pictures. I just cannot bring myself to create anything dark and depressing. I guess it is safe to say I am a bit prejudiced when it comes to my taste in art. I do not envy artists who seem to make a grand living through that style. PORTRAIT ARTIST: D. Harris
When I was seven years old I decided that I wanted to be an artist. Believing I could draw as good as the camera, I set out to prove it. My father was very inspiring, because he too was a multi talented artist though he was a white collar professional. He even sang on the radio and so forth...my whole family was very supportive. They never said a discouraging word, so I had soon gotten smart to their constant praise when I became my own toughest critic.
Anyway, being from a family of college educated professionals left me with a somewhat uneasy feeling though. The fact that being a failed artist would certainly mean shame for me. So I had to prove I could do it successfully. Dropping out of college was a smart move for me, because traveling around the world and drawing with some of the finest street artists did wonders for my eye hand cordination.
Today, I feel fortunate to be able to share this God given gift with you.
